There are two forests here and choosing between them is the whole decision. One glows: enormous exposed roots, waterfalls lit from inside in blue and turquoise, growth shining along the branches, steps cut between the trees. It is the least realistic set in the catalogue and the most immediately liked, which makes it right for the opening scene of anything aimed at children or at first-time headset wearers.
The other is tropical rainforest and its virtue is what it leaves out. Karst peaks behind the canopy, palms and broad leaves close to the lens, humid daylight, and no built structure anywhere in the frame. Nothing dates it, so the same twenty-five panoramas serve a prehistoric scene, an expedition module and a breathing exercise without looking out of place in any of them.
